Changes in Direction
The lines within the palms are the places to look when considering
changes in direction, and in palmistry are frequently seen by
complete breaks or overlapping breaks within the main lines. In general
a complete break, where there is a gap in the line itself,
reveals some kind of unexpected change, where the change may be outside
the person’s control. Sometimes a gap may appear as a complete break,
but when examined closely, a small hair line can be seen to connect the
two broken pieces of the line. However, if you see an overlapping break
in a line, the chances are the change of direction has been, or will be,
initiated by the person himself.
The image (above left) demonstrates a clean break of the life line and the other image (above right) demonstrates an overlapping break of the life line
An overlapping break in the life line,
restarting outside the original line, above right, reveals a complete
change in the person’s life and direction. This will not be life
threatening but will involve a complete change either in the attitude or
the way of life. This may herald a new beginning for the person, with
wider horizons and new experiences. The quality of the life line after
the break will reveal whether the change is for the better or not. When the second section of the overlapping life line restarts inside the original line, the indication is that instead of revealing a time of more freedom and expansion, it reveals a time of more restriction and limitation. The reason for this could be one of many. Health may perhaps deteriorate, change of job or even redundancy may limit the finances to such an extent that previous freedom is taken away. Sometimes it can reveal a renewed interest in home life coming from a relationship or marriage later in life.
An overlapping break in the head line can indicate a complete change in the way of thinking for the person. He might decide to completely alter his life to such an extent that the old behaviour is totally disregarded in favour of something new. The overlapping of the line reveals that this person will initiate these changes himself. Appearing like this, such a major change in the way of life or thinking patterns will inevitably involve serious adjustments having to be made.
