Loss of Direction
Many people contact a palmist when life has reached a crossroads, or
when a problem suddenly hits, such as the loss of a job or direction.
Losing a job, one’s financial security and purpose can be very hard to
cope with, and at a loss to know what to do, and sinking into
depression, we wonder if all is lost, if everything we have ever built
up is ever going to be replaced. Study your fate line, assuming the length to be from the top crease at your wrist, to the crease below the middle finger, even it your fate line begins higher up your palm. Consider the section below your head line to indicate the first third of your life, 0 – 30 years; the section between your head and heart line to be the second third, 30 – 60 years; and the section above your heart line to represent your retirement years. This will give you an approximate timing gauge.
Now study the fate line in these three sections. Is the line solid, or does it have defects such as breaks forming a complete gap in the line, overlapping breaks where one section ends and another begins? Can you see an island, or a cross bar? All these hint at problems or changes on your journey through life. The quality of the fate line, after one of these defects will tell you whether your direction and purpose resumes. If the line after a defect is reasonably strong, you will find your direction once more. Starting our journey at the base and moving up the palm, here we have a good start in life, with direction and purpose appearing early in youth.
However, a little later, a problem strikes with the appearance of an island. For a while the direction flounders, there may be financial hardship, having to pull up the purse strings, or some unhappiness creating a temporary loss of direction.
However, the line continues, the problem is resolved as the line restarts, only this time to be hit by a cross bar. Here another problem hits, but is not too difficult to overcome – the cross bar is small and temporary. However, direction is restored as the line continues its journey up the palm.
The fate line ends suddenly with a complete break. Here direction flounders completely, and the person may wonder what on earth is going to happen next. This reveals a complete end to the current path in life, and leaves the owner feeling at a loss. However, the line once again restores itself, and at this point purpose and direction are restored.
Just a little later on up the line, another section of the fate line begins, and is overlapping the current section. Here something else is beginning to draw the interest. It could be anything from a new interest or hobby, a new job, or even a new person entering into the life, which the owner will ultimately feel is better than the current path, and will end up choosing this new direction instead. As the fate line continues strongly after this point, the decision is a good one.
The Apollo line or sun line, as it is sometimes called, runs parallel to the fate line, although it does not always appear in every hand. It can be found as a line running towards the ring finger and can be timed in the same way as the fate line. When this line appears, it implies that some enthusiasm, happiness and optimism enters into life, and if seen after a defect on the fate line, ensures that no matter how disturbed you feel by the problem at the time, any change you are going through will ultimately result in a happier situation for you later on.
